Welcome to The Tasting Room -- your place to taste wines from some of the
North Fork of Long Island's most recognized producers of artisanal,
limited production, hand-crafted wines!

THE TASTING ROOM
The Tasting Room is Long Island's only multi-winery showcase for fine, limited production, hand-crafted, boutique wines from the North Fork, and offers sales and tastings from:
• Bouké Wines, Brooklyn
• Brooklyn Oenology, Williamsburg
• Christiano Family Vineyards, Mattituck
• Comtesse Thérèse, Aquebogue
• Gramercy Vineyards, Mattituck
• Medolla Vineyards, Peconic
• Onabay Vineyards, Southold
• Schneider Vineyards, Mattituck

Brad Anderson, owner of Onabay Vineyards
Several of our participating wineries have a Brooklyn connection. The owners of Bouké, Brooklyn Oenology, Onabay and Schneider all spend time both in Brooklyn and on the east end, but all make their wines on the North Fork from North Fork grapes.

Lisa Donneson's Bouké White
There is also a big female-owned contingent at The Tasting Room, with Bouké, Brooklyn Oenology, Comtesse Thérèse and Gramercy Vineyards all being female-owned.

TASTINGS:
For a tasting fee of $6, we offer a custom flight featuring six different wines from our award-winning winemakers, many of whom do not offer tastings elsewhere.
Our tasting menus offer a thoughtful journey through varietals and winemaking styles. Tasting Room manager Charles Lazarou explains the ways in which the wines are both varietally appropriate and uniquely North Fork.
Tasting Menus change weekly to provide a unique experience for each visit to The Tasting Room and to introduce the taster to the full line of each producer's wines.
LIMOS AND PARTIES LIMITED TO 10 PERSONS MAXIMUM :
Tastings by appointment,
between 11am and 1pm.
For appointment call (631) 765-6404, or

The Tasting Room is owned and operated by Theresa ("Tree") Dilworth, owner and head winemaker of Comtesse Thérèse. She and the other vineyard owners are often on hand to talk about all aspects of winemaking, from tending the vines to bottling the wines.
The Tasting Room won "Best of the Best" Wine Retail Shop in Dan's Papers, 2010.

OUR LOCATION
2885 Peconic Lane: The Tasting Room, at 2885 Peconic Lane in Peconic, New York, is housed in an old storefront built in the mid-1800's, and proudly wears its original tin ceilings, tin walls, and wide oak floor planks.

Strategically located next to the train tracks, 2885 Peconic Lane became a speakeasy during Prohibition, and offered gentlemen callers a ... respite from the storm, shall we say ... in the rooms upstairs. Later, the location housed a number of other businesses, including a hardware/general store, a butcher shop, and most recently, a yarn store. Currently, 2885 Peconic Lane, has returned to its roots -- at least downstairs -- offering wine to visitors.

Peconic, New York:
Besides The Tasting Room, the tiny village of Peconic is also home to Taste of the North Fork, offering food products made from North Fork fruits and wines; White Flower Antiques; and The Homeport B&B.
And, of course, Peconic is smack-dab in the middle of wine country, with over a dozen wineries and vineyards located within a 10-mile
radius, and practically all of the vineyards located within a 20 mile
radius.
